2025 Plain City Street Maintenance
The work consists of the following work in existing City streets: overlaying 2,200 S.Y. of existing pavement, surface treatment on over 110,000 S.Y. of existing city street, walking paths and parking lots. Work also includes the replacement of pavement markings and striping as well as all other items required to complete the work as specified in the contract documents.
RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Plain City Municipal Offices, 4160 West 2200 North, Plain City, Utah, 84404, until 10:00 a.m. on July 16th, 2025 for the 2025 Street Maintenance Project for Plain City Corporation.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of the following work in existing City streets: overlaying 2,200
S.Y. of existing pavement, surface treatment on over 110,000 S.Y. of existing city street, walking paths and parking lots. Work also includes the replacement of pavement markings and striping as well as all other items required to complete the work as specified in the contract documents.
LOCATION OF WORK: The work is at various locations throughout Plain City.
COMPLETION OF WORK: All work shall be completed in 2025. Work must be completed in accordance with temperature restrictions.
OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025, at the Plain City Offices at 4160 West 2200 North, Plain City, Utah.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically online at Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering https://www.wasatchcivil.com/ listed under Bid Packages upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee.
BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, made payable to Plain City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price.
WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of three weeks from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any “or equal” products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: Plain City Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City.
